Why Adopted Children Must Have Access To Their Biological Family & Genetic Heredity History
The Surgeon General's Family Health History Initiative
If adoption is truly for the best interests of the adopted child, concealing the child's identity with unethical name changes, erasing the biological family identity and sealed adoption records for 99 years would be outlawed in the U.S.!
In my pathetic existence as an adopted child the chronic illnesses could have been prevented with the knowledge from my biological family's health records.
Although it is far too late for my disease ridden existence, but the knowledge could have prevented illness and disease in my children and we would have had biological family members to donate blood products and bone marrow for childhood leukemia.
The system not only failed myself but failed a second generation that had nothing to do with that dirty adoption and that her life depended on, I was not allowed to access as a discriminated adult adoptee.
Now that I have taken back my power, my name, my family and family medical history I am empowered by the knowledge tools of disease and illness risks that may appear in my grand children and great grand-children. They deserve to know their history and family too.
